Customer Reviews For The Honeywell QuietSet 8 Whole Room Oscillating Tower Fan
This fan was shown on the Today Show as an item to help you sleep better at night. I keep it on the lowest setting and it still keeps me cool, and its very quiet. I'm so glad that I purchased it.
Just what was needed for the room.
As advertised quiet plenty of settings and lite weight to move around
This is the 2nd Honeywell Tower fan I have purchased. The fans are very quiet, efficient, and perfect to have on in the bedroom overnight. I also have 4 QuietSet Whole floor fans. I have been purchasing Honeywell products since the 70s. Also the first Cardiac Ultrasound machines I used in 1984 were Honeywell! Thank you!
This fan does all that is says it does. It provides several cooling options in a quiet, effective manner. This is a perfect way to keep a room cool and airy during the summer months. Well worth the reasonable price.
We use a fan upstairs to supplement our AC. I use to cool the bedroom/office where I've been working since Covid hit and to cool my side of the bed. Our old fan was a pedestal mount with a 20" blade and at its lowest speed produced too much air to work comfortably. Running it all night would dry out my sinuses. And it was noticeably loud, especially at night. When it finally quit last spring I could have picked up the same basic design for $30 but decided to spend twice that on the Honeywell. I'm so happy I did! On its highest setting it produces less air than our old fan, but it's more than enough for a large master bedroom. In fact, we've never used anything above the middle speed setting. What I appreciate most is that the lowest speed setting produces just the right amount of air - a light breeze - to work comfortably for 8 hrs+ without drying out my eyes. And it's nearly silent. During the day I can't hear it unless I'm right next to it, and at night it's barely audible. Because it's tall, the airflow covers my entire body, which provides a greater level of comfort. I didn't think I'd want or need a remote control for a fan but it's very nice to have, especially when running it at night. Final thoughts: the size is nice, much smaller than a pedestal fan, and it's ideal when you want a gentle to moderate breeze. If you need gale force winds from 20' away a traditional fan may be a better choice.
The fan failed to turn on when plugged in. I called customer service and was told a new one would be sent. It has not yet arrived
very quiet! many different speeds! we have 5 Honeywell fans and all are GREAT!
The fan does a great job and the remote is awesome. It's quiet and has many speed options to chose from.
I bought this fan as a gift for my parents, and they love it. It is quiet yet powerful.
The Quiet Set Tower Fan is by far, the best oscillating fan on the market! I highly recommend this product. It is a quiet, economical, space saving product that also aesthetically accents ones home decor!
Ordered 4 and got them sooner than I thought it would be, item packed in a very good condition. Working good perfectly . Thank You
I love this fan! The levels range from super quiet and low to louder and super high. I have only one issue with it and that is the lack of a light button on the remote. They boast 5 light levels but A every time you turn the fan on the light goes back to full brightness, and B the light is very bright in the middle of the night, but im not going to get out of bed to change it. If there was a light button on the remote then it would be a perfect product. I still am giving it 5 stars because, even with the lack of a light button on the remote this product is awesome. I would definitely recommend it!
This is the best fan I have ever used. The weight allows me to bring it into other rooms. It includes a remote no batteries! Other than feeling cooler, you wouldn't know it's on. I bought a second one for my friend who loved it when she visited.
Loving this fan! I was nervous about if it really was going to be quiet like advertised and it is. The slim style is a plus too!
I never review products because I'm obscenely lazy, so the fact that I'm typing this speaks for itself. I use this fan six months out of the year, 24 hours per day. I don't use the auto-off feature because my very furry dog stays at home during the day, and I like a cold apartment. How long have I been abusing it like this? Well, I got the fan as an engagement gift, and I have now been divorced for five years. It still works like the day I unwrapped it. It's seriously amazing and reliable. Buy one.
My air conditioner was old so I wanted to replace it, but I didn't want the bulkiness of another a/c. I went online and found this puppy. The reviews were positive. The item arrived as scheduled, and easy set up. Right now in WMass we are experiencing the usual muggies/heat and I can't believe that this fan is so good that I sleep right thru the nights. I will say that the higher levels the humming is noticeable, but not to the point of being annoying. Im so happy that I found a sleek, light weight with multiple options fan for the summer months. Oh and I forgot to mention the stand is high enough to put at the end of the bed that I still get the full service of the fan. Kisses.
Various setting make room comfortable at different times of day enabling me to keep the central A/C at a realistic setting. The fan circulates refreshing breezes. Glad I made the purchase
I would say a 3.5 rating. It works, and moves cool air well around the room. I was a little upset when the one I bought did not come with batteries. When the instructions says otherwise. Other than that, I like the fan but it is an inconvenience to me that I have to go out and by AAA batteries.
Base assembly:
- Remove 2 thumb screws from the base and set aside. Align the front and back base pieces and gently push until pieces snap securely together
Securing the tower fan to the base:
- At the base of the housing, remove the locking nut and set aside.
- Carefully lift the fan housing and place the power cord through the center of the base.
- Lower the fan housing into the base, align the back of the fan with the back of the base. Gently rotate the fan housing until it is seated in the base.
- Take the locking nut and place power cord through the locking nut bringing locking nut up inside the base, screw the locking nut onto the fan housing turning clockwise (by turning to the Right) until fully tightened and an audible ratcheting is heard.
Securing the cord inside the base:
- Gently place the fan on its side, pressing the cord securely into cord guides along the inside of fan base, exiting through the notched opening ensuring a flat and stable base for the fan.
- Place 2 thumb screws into the base for added stability.
- Return the tower fan to its upright position. Note: Do not operate the tower fan unless it is in its proper, upright position.
