Customer Reviews For The Honeywell 70-Pint Energy Star Dehumidifier with Built-In Drain Pump
This dehumidifier has performed well over several years of use. When the bucket needed replacing, the company sent us a replacement free of charge. Excellent customer service!
When I received the item and set it up, the pump would not turn on. There was an E5 error message. I emailed support but didn't get a response. I called and waited on hold for a bit and got through to a support agent. She was able to provide support while having the same model item in front of her and was able to troubleshoot and send me pictures of a silicone washer insert that was missing. This was sent to me and once I installed it correctly everything worked as expected. Long story short... Item works great. Technical support is VERY helpful.
The dehumidifier arrived promptly and was well packed. Very easy to look up and over 9, the humidity in my basement dropped from 78-45 and by day 3, it had dropped down to 34. The the continuous drain holes is very short and probably not very practical to use unless you have a drain nearby. However, the continuous pump drainage hose is long enough and works well. The dehumidifier is fairly quiet and thus far, I am very pleased with how it is performed. I was also able to use the QR cord that came with the package to register this appliance without any difficulty. I hope that unlike my previous dehumidifier which was made by Keystone, this has reasonable longevity.
Functions as advertised and am quite satisfied with its performance. The vertical pump distance is actually a good 15+ feet - length of the included plastic tubing. Attaching the hose is a bit tricky with regard to how “tightâ€. I needed to play with it awhile to ensure no leakage. Quiet and the instructions are good. I'd recommend the unit over a Haier - which I had and the internal pump broke down after 3 years and the company said it was not under warranty, Ugh
So far, so good. Ask me again in a year. Most of this type of device dies a month after the warranty. The five year warranty intrigued me and it is quiet and doesn't frost up so far.
This unit installed and has operated flawlessly. It is quiet and an excellent performer, I bring no less that 12 tropical plants into my house each fall, this unit keeps the RH in my house at a even 55% RH.
Easy to setup. Many operational settings. Quite compared to other dehumidifiers I've tried.
There is no auto-on/auto-off feature based on reaching the desired humidity setting only the timer, which you have to reset every time you use it. It has a built-in pump, but it doesnt pump until the bucket is full, and doesnt empty the bucket, so despite this nice built-in pumping facility, I still have to empty the bucket on it. For the cost of this unit, I am very disappointed.
Competitive price at this store, the day I bought it. One day delay vs. time expected receipt. Staff good to work with re delivery. Very large space, so had to buy a second one. So very pleased with the result. Humidity level was 55+, and now with both machines, stays at 37-42. Most important feature to me is the pump. Works like a charm Vertical about 8 feet & horizontal about 7 feet. Would definitely recommend.
WORKS PERFECT RIGHT OUT OF BOX GREAT PACKAGING NO SET UP NEEDED JUST PLUG IN AND HOOK UP DRAIN HOSE
Works as described. Pump helps a lot. Don't need a floor drain.
This unit removes a lot of moisture quickly and quietly. While the pump works as avertised, it will not empty the tank. The feeder tube the pump uses to withdraw the water sticks down in the tank only a few inches from the the top. The owner will need to empty the tank to prevent mold build-up.
Love the results, but pump doesn't engage unless tank is full. Instructions are brief, results good.
