The Honeywell QuietCare Cool Mist Humidifier utilizes a Protec Pure Cool Moisture System that will assist in the capturing of dust, dirt and pollen in the water. The use of the Protec Pure Cool Moisture System is capable of producing cleaner and fresher moisture by using a combination of air-washing technology features along with Protec protection. This is achieved by a multistep process that includes:
- An air-washing pre-filter captures dirt, dust, pollen and other small particles in the water.
- The primary Protec Antimicrobial Filter then assists in preventing surface growth and migration of mold, mildew, algae, fungus and odor inducing bacteria.
- The use of a Protec Cleaning Cartridge will hinder the development of odor-causing bacteria and mold. The cartridge will also reduce mineral buildup within the humidifier.
The Honeywell QuietCare HCM-6009 Console Humidifier comes equipped with an Advanced Mist Humidistat which automatically maintains the desired moisture level to your preset personal preference. This whole house humidifier features three output speeds to efficiently humidify up to 2300 square feet of space. It's very early on with my purchase,it is functioning good and maintaining a good humidity level for me in my 650 sq foot room.I do wish the water holding tanks were made of a stronger or thicker pastic as so I would feel better about the units longevity.
this is a great design. It has improved humidity significantly upstairs. We put it in the middle of the upstairs so all rooms can benefit. Our living room. Went from 28% humidity to 40% in a week. I plan to purchase another one for downstairs. It's a bit loud like a fan but as long as it's not next to the TV it's fine

It's tough to find a good humidifier. This one is a little more expensive than your single room humidifier but well worth it. We are using this to keep the air moist on the entire upper floor of our house. It holds 9ish gallons of water and before 24 hours is up it's all gone. So it really puts a lot of water vapor into the air. It also makes the entire floor cooler, it was getting so cold upstairs that we had to put the humidifier on low. Some reviews say that this machine is really loud on high. That sorta scared me a little before I bought it. While it doesn't run silently, I think it's quieter than a box fan. Also there is no need to run it on high after the air gets moist. The dual tanks are easy to refill in the tub and you can keep the machine running and fill one tank at a time. The machine is fairly lightweight and easy to move around but make sure you empty the water first to avoid spills. If I have 1 complaint, it's not aesthetically pleasing. In other words it's ugly. There are other machines that look like works of art or furniture but that wouldn't stop me from purchasing this again.
