Now that using my pellet stove have had to start the humidifier. I have found that the humidifier filters work well, provide sufficient moisture and last usually 6-8 weeks before needing replacement.

Just a better made product than the imitation filters. Better moisture distribution, longer life and very limited development of mold etc. Holds its shape longer even when frequently rotated. A great product.

Don't Go With Knock-Off Products!

I had read that getting these filters direct from Honeywell was the way to go - that any of the third-party providers are junk. Well, I found out the hard way in years past that this is true. The 3rd party fail within about a month get stiff, stink like crazy, etc. and with the Honeywell I had one last the entire winter with no problems. Yes, they are a little more expensive but WELL worth the upfront cost! One for the year instead of 4 - do the math!

Don't buy other brands

I am convinced that the Honeywell filter is the only one to use. Other brands don't increase the humidity as much as the Honeywell filter does. The other brands just don't function as long as the Honeywell either. They may be cheaper but have to be replaced quicker.

This is the best filter for the HCM6009 humidifier I have used. I buy these from the Honeywell Store www.honeywellstore.com rather than amazon suppliers because you receive what you order. They are a bit on the expensive side but last the longest of any Ive used 4 to 6 weeks. They hold together better than replacement filters.

Nothing beats the OG

While waiting for these to arrive, ordered no name ones that were popular on that online shopping site that's putting rockets into space.. replaced the no name as soon as these came in, amazing difference. The humidifier actually turned off for once, hit the set level in and 2 hours. The other filter we were always hovering just below the magic 50% humidity #. What a waste of electric.

A great Filter

I've learned from experience that cheap filters don't last as long and do not work as well. I used a generic brand that cost less and when I put it in the unit, the usage meter was immediately in the mid area. Within one week the meter read replace. When I replaced the filter with the Honeywell, the meter went all the way up to Good and has stayed there for 3 weeks and counting. These are strong enough for repeated cleaning if done properly.

Filter E

This is the right filter for humidiifer HEV685. I just replaced the filter with this one and it seems a little high for the housing unit to fit over it. It works but the housing unit sticks up a smidge and you feel like it is the wrong one. I'm sure it works fine however.

The best filters ever!

The filters I have been buying through Amazon last about 3 water refills each. They are flimsy and cannot easily be rotated before being used up! Giving them a short soak in water with a bit of vinegar doesn't get rid of the wet dog smell after a days use. Thank you for allowing us to purchase them from you directly! The blue outer coating keeps them fresh for days. and no odors!

Here in Arizona, I only need one for our very short winter heating season Some companies dont support their products parts and accessories. Been using these filters in the Hoineywell Humidifier for years and it does the job. When the humidity drops in the house I know I need to put on the humidifier because my nose bleeds and my skin becomes dry. Before purchasing the humidifier I suffered for years with dry skin and nose in the house. Humidifiers also help reduce Covid in the house because there moisture drops the germs to there floor. Effective Filter, But Requires Daily Maintenance

Performs effectively. Well made. Retains shape. Lasts about 4 weeks before becoming permanently crusty and a little smelly. Have to flip it upside down every day to minimize crustiness. Have to clean it after the 3rd week hand rinse and gently squeeze dry to use it the 4th week.

I use one filter in my upstairs humidifier and one in my downstairs humidifiers. Prior to purchasing the Honeywell products that would last 2 months then I had to change the filters. The filters are so good, I only use 1 per year. I tried other filters but they were terrible.. That's when I heard about Honeywell. Honeywell Fitler Lasts

I've found the cheapest HC14 generic filters, and they work OK, but the Honeywell filter lasts three times longer and doesn't cost three times as much, so I'm going with Honeywell from now on. Seems more expensive, but actually cheaper in the long run.

The Very Best Filter

I tried to find these in our local stores, and on their websites. No luck at all. Then I Goggled Honeywell HC-14 Replacement Humidifier Filter E and the Honeywell store popped up. Should have thought of that first. These are the only filters I use, seriously, the generic ones aren't nearly as good. You don't save money, as they need t be replaced much sooner. Please don't ever stop making these!

Nice filters

There are a lot of aftermarket filters out there, but they don't look as nice as these. These aren't just paper. They have a fibrous exterior shell. I doubt the third party ones would last as long and they would probably get moldy, too.

Good Filter

This filter seems like a big improvement over the previous version, which did not have the blue mesh. The mesh seems to be helping to keep the paper filter cleaner, and overall the filter seems to be lasting much longer.

The Blue is Back

I was very pleased to see the blue wrapper back as the filters without this have not lasted long. In fact I have seen many reviews criticizing Honeywell for eliminating it, so apparently they listened. Kudos. It works better and I am very hopeful it will last longer as well.

This is the end time I've purchased this item from the Honeywell store. After my 1st purchase, I thought I was saving a few bucks by getting them on Amazon. What is offered in Amazon is not the same quality as you will fine here at the store. The Amazon products are just crap compared to what I got here. Night and day quality difference. And these here last asked a lot longer and didn't mold. So do urself a favor and just click what your looking for right to the cart now. Save yourself time money and headache.

Wicks and holds water well. Maintains shape when wet. Have to turn daily to keep one end from drying out and becoming brown/hard. Lasts about a month before too brown/hard. Rarely moldy. Wish they'd last longer and I didn't have to turn them.

I've spent a lot of money on off brand filters from Amazon, and gotten some that worked anywhere from just ok to terrible.... finally bought from the site and what a difference! The extra blue ring is a total life saver if you are buying larger filters. It's not as easy buying from the site since you have to wait so long for shipping, but the quality makes it worth it.

New filters are better than the old ones

I like the blue liner that wraps the filters. It seems to last longer, it also makes the filter more sturdy so it doesn't flop over while I'm trying to put the case over it. I wish Honeywell had better promotions or discounts on products though. These filters are not cheap and you go through them once a month.

Honeywell makes the BEST products for certain. I live in Richmond, Virginia where we experience col, dry weather in the winter. The Honeywell Replacement filters work great and last a long time. I am on city water so have very good, clean water to use in Honeywell Humidifier and the filters wor well. I do periodically wash the filters and turn them upside down which seems to make them last longer and work in a superior fashion.

New filters

After the filter that came with the unit needed to be changed I purchased a filter from another company. While it fit the unit, the capacity of the humidifier decreased greatly water stayed in the tanks far too long, the humidity in my apartment decreased by 15% and I was extremely uncomfortable. The filter I purchased directly from the Honeywell store had the humidifier working to full capacity again. It was expensive and I had to pay shipping charges but my eyes are no longer stinging so it is worth it. Glad to find these filters were still available

I see many aftermarket filter posts about how they don't work as well as the genuine Honeywell dehumidifier evaporative filters but they cost less. This replacement filter for our humidifier fits exactly as you would expect. It works well but you have to remember to flip it each time you fill the water tanks, otherwise the sediment left from the evaporating water will clog the filter. New to me filter design

The filters I received when the humidifier was new had a blue wrap around the filter that seemed to keep the filter sturdy, not saggy. They did away with the blue wrap and the filters seemed to have no stability to them. This latest filter seems much sturdier. More like the blue wrapped original filter. Good deal.

Humidifier Filer

The new style filter seems sturdy and performs well. There is no problem installing it if the filter is thoroughly soaked first. So far I have refilled the humidifier many times and had no problem flipping the filter. I have seen almost no mineral buildup or discoloration so far, but is has been less than two weeks. However, I do not expect it to last all winter and plan to get a spare to keep on hand.

Have tried generic filters for my Honeywell humidifier. Genesis filters do not humidify well, become hard and have to be changed often. The Honeywell remain soft much much longer and do far better job in humidifier the air

Filter Life

I dont have anything to compare to really, but the filter does what its supposed to do. I just wish it lasted a little longer. I started to notice a really bad smell and it was coming from the filter. I think the smell started at about 3 weeks. I also use the Protec Cleaner balls and I change it every time I change the filter.

Honeywell Humidifier

We have been very pleased with the performance of the Honeywell Humidifier. It has totally changed the indoor climate of our home from desert like to very comfortable. Living in New England, winters are really tough on skin and nasal passages. The correct amount of indoor humidity is essential for health. Cleaning of this unit is very easy. The only thing I would change is the need for a see through area on the water tanks. It would be good to have a warning when they are running low. Would recommend this unit to others.

Very good filter

I purchased my Honeywell humidifier this past fall, and this is the first new filter Ive put in it. The original one lasted about 2 months, so I am pleased with that considering it is used in the same room as our pellet stove. New life into a dry, struggling humidifier

If Id know what kind of a difference a replacement filter makes, I would have bought a bunch of them a long time ago. The HCM-6009 humidifier is a great device and originally did a good job keeping our entire apartment at a healthy level of humidity we put it right next to the main A/C intake vent. But after many months of use, it had to try harder than it should have just to do a marginally okay job. I ordered a couple HC-14N replacement filters direct from Honeywell, and now its as good as new again. Absolutely worth it, and the Honeywell Store actually had the cheapest price at the time.

We had a little trouble getting our humidifier to sit snuggly over the filter, but once we learned to put the large part of the base on first, all was well and it worked beautifully.

This was an outstanding experience. The item was received in a timely manner, packaged safely and is exactly what I ordered. In fact, I ordered one of the item and after placing the order my wife said we should have ordered two, so I went back to the website and place another single order. The shipping department is surely on their toes. When someone noticed that there where two orders for the same item going to the same address they shipped them in the same box. Now that is a conscientious employee....good job folks, I was impressed!!!!!

Its what I needed

I cant say if its good or bad its a bit expensive but I need this humidifier for the winter. I wish they did not discontinue the other filter it was like $10 cheaper.

The filter is very good. However, the packaging for shipment was terrible and the package was torn and partially open when it arrived. The filter was shipped in a flimsy cardboard container only. Fortunately the filter was nor damaged.

Clean air

Honeywell sells great products. I own one of their cool air humidifiers perfect for the cold climate I live in and my DRY house. This filter always keeps the mist fresh and clean and the rooms feeling good.

I found the Honeywell Store online to be the best place to purchase these filters. I replace them every month or so and they have the best pricing and quick delivery. I typically purchase a case of 5 which minimizes the per filter shipping cost. Even with shipping they are more competitive than Amazon and other websits.
