The Honeywell 1114 Lightweight Fire and Waterproof Chest is the lighter version of Honeywell's 1104 Molded Fire/Water Chest. The Honeywell 1114 Lightweight Fire and Waterproof Chest features a storage capacity of .39 cubic feet. Secure unprecedented levels in peace of mind with this chest's ability to withstand a fire of up to 1700° F for one hour! The addition of a waterproof seal and two side latches guards against emergency sprinklers, floods and various other forms of water damage. These features make it an ideal candidate for stashing all of your personal documents, digital media and various other valuables. The security box is also large enough to store your legal sized papers flat. For security measures, this waterproof chest utilizes a key lock system. A carry handle is also included and adds even more versatility to an already flexible product.

It's pricey and it's heavy, but it's roomy enough on the inside to fit all our really important documents birth certificates, passports, etc. and the fire rating is among the best at the retail level so we don't have to worry if we cant grab it as we leave.
Look well constructed and like the hydraulics to keep the lid open safely. It is heavy at 43 lbs and I put felt tips in the base so I can slide it around my room. Worth the wait from backorder.

This item does not appear at first glance to be a safe and likely to contain valuables. It doesn't say steal me. Appearing more like a suitcase but with all of the great features of a firesafe. Excellent item to own.
