Honeywell 50250s

I have two of these air purifiers. Love them. One problem is getting the filters for them. I have had them for years. Please make both the purifier and HEPA filters easier to purchase.

Clean Air

I have confidence this air purifier is designed to effectively remove allergens. The room air smells cleaner after just a short time running. The only complaint I have is that the low speed is still a bit to loud for me. Our house is small 1400 sq feet and with wood floors, the noise is to loud to be running constantly for me. I would not replace it though as I feel it does what it needs to do, even if it is not constantly running.

Happy after 7 years!

After 7 years of daily use. just about 24/7 our Honeywell works well. It is somewhat loud and heavy to move, but it's an affordable HEPA air filter. When changing the prefilter I'm always horrified by the amount of dust caught! Imagine if that was floating around the house?! If you hate dusting, have pets, or live in a well insulated home yup tight homes have their downfalls! I'd recommend this machine. Filters and prefilters last a long time! It's very easy to operate. One tip: write the filter and prefilter you need with sharpie marker on the bottom of the machine. Then you have a super easy point of reference when reordering.

Incredible Air Filtration System - I'm a 3-time buyer!

I purchased the Honeywell 50250 for my younger daughter's bedroom initially some years ago due to cat dander and allergies, and she exclaimed that the air is like being in a really good hotel room or suite!. I then purchased the same filter for a neighbor who's son had tremendous allergies, and was miserable at home due to trees outside his windows, and the filter worked wonders for him. I gave the initial filter to my older daughter for her first apartment, as my younger one moved to another state, and I just purchased a 3rd filter for my own home. Dust, pollen, cooking odors, or anything else can't escape capture, and in these Covid-19 times, it's simply really good sense to have a Honeywell for home and/or office! Thanks so much!

life saver

I had anaphylactic shock and couldn't breath. Was in the hospital 5 days. One of the reasons I could breath was the hepa filters in the hospital filtering the air I was in ICU. When released I had a second episode, and back to the hospital. When I got out I bought this unit and locked myself in my 13x15 bedroom. I'm ALIVE and breathing because of this unit. It is a tad noisy, but I can sleep with it running on low, and better, so can my wife. I run it for about 2 hours in the morning and 1-2 in the afternoon and it has prevented, or curred, my breathing problems as far as air quality goes. Rainey days are a blessing and God send, but this purifier makes up for what God can't do 24/7. Thank you Honeywell for the quality product. My life would be over without it. Literally.

simple and effective

We have been using this product more or less unchanged for 20 years. They work well, give you an allergy safe sleeping room, and make a nice quiet whoosh sound while sleeping.

No nonsense no ozone

I hope this unit never changes. It is a workhorse without emitting ozone.

Used this air filter for 20 years

I have used this air filter for 20 years. It recently stopped working and I was excited to find that the same model is still being produced. I use it for filtration and white noise at night when I sleep.

Unit is decently quiet on the two lower settings. Prefilter is easy to install. Unit would be easier to move to another room if there were casters or wheels instead of picking up the purifier. I have had the purifier only a week so I am hoping for allergy symptoms to be relieved soon.

Does the job

It eliminates cat dander and germs in a short time. I run it just two hours at a time during the day when I am home and I have nice fresh air to breathe. Even the cat likes it.

A Bit Big But Quieter

This model is a bit bigger than my previous model but much quieter. It cleans the air Great. We have a wood and Pellet stove and barly smell the wood smoke. I bought my last one from Walmart--never again. Reviews said it would last 10 years and was quiet. Mine was very loud-had to turn off while watching TV and only lasted a few years. I will buy from Honeywell you get a good price and can buy filters there.

Is Honeywell going to stop making this model? I hope not.. I have used this model both in my home and in my classroom - for years.. Tho I'm retired now, I still use them in my home during forest fire season here in the PNW - and the smoke can get bad!!! They keep the air clean and fresh - never smell smoke in the house. I like this model in particular because you can clean the HEPA filter - get a lot of mileage out of it.
